22 sleeps to go......

Finally I have got the blog up and running again, blogs are now administered by Google and it was a marathon effort to change the login over getting past norton security, firewalls, cookies, blah, blah blah......

Well, 22 sleeps to go. We have 3 full weekends at home before we go, I have 8 more days of work and Hutchy has 10.

Our caravan is arriving some time tonight, my Dad (Robbo) went to Victoria to pick it up for us. He just phoned and is in Moree, ETA 7.00pm.

We have had two fine days of weather (halelluja!!!!) so we should be able to get ahead with fixing up the space where our container will go and also do some cleaning, packing and yard work. I was starting to get a little stressed about the inclement weather.....

Jesse's 1st Birthday

Jesse turned one on 26th October, we were very lucky to have his Nanny Carlene, Great Nanny June, Grandpa Robbo and Great Grandpa Clarry with us for his birthday. We had a bbq party at Cotton Tree with all of our friends and family. A lovely day aside from it being a bit windy. Unfortunately, Jesse wasn't all that well over his birthday, he had a nasty virus, but he still managed to play quite happily on the dirty concrete in the BBQ area.

With Great Nan June and Nanny Carlene (Mum's mum and Nan)

Jesse was definately happiest while crawling around on the dirty concrete in the BBQ area, what can a Mum do?

Nanny Carlene and Great Nanny June made two fantastic birthday cakes, this was my favorite, a lovely green grub, just like me.

Getting ready to sing happy birthday.

{the other} Jesse Hutchinson

I put Jesse Hutchinson into Google today to see if it would find his blog and got a website for an acoustic folk singer from the uk called Jesse Hutchinson, how cool is that? Check out his website by clicking on the link on the right hand side navigation bar under links. Needless to say I got sidetracked and didn't find our Jesse yet, will let you know when I do.

First swim

We had our first swim in the pool for summer. It was a bit chilly, Jesse's bottom lip shivered quite a bit but after the initial shock he really enjoyed it. He had a go in his Zog and also sat in his submarine. We are looking forward to his birthday next week and catching up with lots of friends and family.

Alfresco

A little bit of alfresco dining on the back deck yesterday....

A long time between drinks

Wow, I just had a look at the first blog I wrote, which I never published and never told anybody about, it was funny to look back at what I wrote that day (now pubished below). I checked out a blog last week of a friend I used to work with at Office for Seniors, Leonie started her blog about her little boy Cuy while they were overseas in Taiwan as a way for family and friends to keep up to date on Cuy's life and times. It inspired me to rejuvenate this blog, so here goes! I will write some stuff about Jesse's life so far when I get a chance and I will also try to keep an up to date diary of Jesse's adventures. I will also try to add some photos, which I haven't figured out how to do yet, but as with all IT challenges I am sure I will work it out eventually.

This is the first post for Jesse Hutch's very own website, created so that family and friends can log on at any time and find out what Jesse has been up to and look at photos and (video?) of Jesse.

Today Jesse and I went for a walk to the Loo with a View, it was hot for me even at 7:00am. Jesse got hungry before we were even half way so cried all the way home when I wasn't carrying him. Once we got home though he went to sleep (in the morning!!!) and slept for a good 3.5 hours. When Jesse woke up we went downstairs (after a feed of course) so that he could meet our neighbour Flora who has returned from Melbourne for a couple of weeks. Flora thinks that Jesse is a little miracle and enjoyed holding him. Jesse then fed some more and then had some 'air time' on his big Underwater Mat from his Poppy Hutch and Nanny Jill. I gave him a sponge bath and a massage which he enjoyed. He peed on me twice to show his appreciation. After some more milk and no sleep! Dad got home from work and took Jesse for a walk in the pram to the shops.
